Dikti Mountains National Park occupies a significant portion of the Dikti mountain range on the island of Crete, Greece. The park features dramatically steep limestone peaks rising over 2,100 meters, including the prominent Spathi Peak. The park’s terrain includes deep gorges, caves, alpine meadows, and dense forests of pine and fir. Ecologically, it supports diverse flora such as Cretan maple, Cretan dittany, and rare orchids, along with fauna including the endangered Cretan wild goat (Kri-kri), various bird species like the Golden Eagle and Griffon vulture, and a range of reptiles and insects.
